Starting Strong / Partir du bon pied

From here in France to far beyond, Gen Z (13–28) is streaming back to the Church, hungry for depth. At Refuge we’re seeing it with our own eyes—seats filling, and as many of you saw last night, altars filling too. I believe God is moving among the young.

Take a moment this week to read 1 Samuel 3—what do you notice? Ask the Spirit to reveal your place in the swirl of our world, as He did for Samuel. In a season of confusion, God ushered in a new day for His people by speaking to a young, inexperienced boy.

But Samuel wasn’t alone. Turn back a chapter and you’ll find a praying mother (Hannah). Look closely and you’ll see an aging mentor (Eli) who, despite failures in his house, still pointed Samuel to the Lord. Who might you be for this generation—a prayer warrior, a mentor and guide, or perhaps like Samuel yourself, learning to recognize God’s voice?

May our response be Samuel’s: Here I am.

Let’s make room. This week: learn a name you don’t know, invite a young man for coffee, and pray daily for one Gen Z by name. Ask the Father how you can welcome, mentor, and serve what the Spirit is doing.

D’ici en France jusqu’au-delà, la Génération Z (13–28 ans) revient vers l’Église, en quête de profondeur. À Refuge, nous le voyons de nos propres yeux—les places se remplissent et, comme hier soir, les autels aussi. Je crois que Dieu agit parmi les jeunes.

Cette semaine, lisez 1 Samuel 3 : qu’y voyez-vous ? Demandez à l’Esprit de vous montrer votre place, comme Il l’a fait pour Samuel. Dans une saison de confusion, Dieu a inauguré un nouveau jour pour Son peuple en parlant à un jeune encore inexpérimenté.

Mais Samuel n’était pas seul. Revenez d’un chapitre et vous trouverez une mère qui prie (Anne). Regardez de près et vous verrez un mentor âgé (Éli) qui, malgré les manquements de sa maison, a su orienter Samuel vers le Seigneur. Qui serez-vous pour cette génération—un intercesseur, un mentor, ou peut-être comme Samuel, en train d’apprendre à reconnaître la voix de Dieu ?

Que notre réponse soit la sienne : « Me voici. »

Faisons-leur de la place. Cette semaine : apprenez un prénom, invitez un jeune à prendre un café, et priez chaque jour pour un Gen Z par son nom. Demandez au Père comment accueillir, accompagner et servir ce que l’Esprit fait.
